Magazines in the UK have been constantly disappointing me. Whenever I flick through to see if there are any inspirational photo shoots or images it's always a real let down. Plus I can never find any features worth reading either. Magazine's looked like they were on their way out for me - until now.
A while back I was reading through one of my fave U.S bloggers Sally Jane and found that she had written a post about online magazines - my hopes were restored when I found Betty. This is the magazine's first issue and has 'Your New Best Friend' printed on the cover - and indeed it might be! It's a British mag too so features the places we all know and love such a Shoreditch, Alfie's Antique Market and my home town Brighton. It's full of amazing articles, fashion, reviews and photography - be sure to check out the darling little Robert Archard ceramic biscuit boxes made perfectly to hold the exact biscuits they represent! My New Best Friend? Yes. Will she be yours too?

I really enjoyed the first issue and can't wait for the second one!
Oh its wonderful. I've added it to my favourites. Thankyou for sharing it. x
Thanks for the link - this looks brilliant :-)
Oh Thank for your comment on my blog! :D
As I already said I love yours!
Wow! This magazine looks divine - the muted/pastel shades remind me of Marie Antoinette. I'm off to check it out right now. And how fabulous that they're looking for contributors! :)
Oh, how beautiful! Thanks for sharing about this magazine - it's so nice to find UK-based loveliness, too.
I just had a flick through and it's really lovely! It has such a nice feel to it and great looking through and recognising little things I'm familiar with. Love that they featured Peggy Sue, I saw them at Bestival on the teeniest stage and they sang beautifully. Can't help feeling that I want to hold the mag in my hands now though!
thanks for this, i had heard of it but hadn't gotten around to actually looking at it!
thank you also for the comment on liebemarlene!
Fantastic! I'll have to check it out when I have time to peruse the whole thing. The photos you've provided give a nice preview of what awaits, though!
yes yes yes thank you for information about this. I too am feeling the distinct lack of any good UK magazines, but not up for the high postage rates of subscriptions to better international publications. a very good find.
